So today, I found out that a LOT of people get pissed off at other who improperly make "Fake Cuts". From what I collected, a FAKE cut links to another journal entry at, and the "proper" way to do this is by putting parenthesis around the covered link. Like so: ( "insert bolded url" ) <---You must never forget to put the SPACES before the link! You MUST not forget to bold text!!! Or else these people will HOUND you.
<span style="font-weight: bold">( <a href="http://www.livejournal.com/users/dudski/285057.html">a properly executed fake lj-cut</a> )</span>which, naturally, you could enter after the url [ title="jing is cool"]
So, God forbid, NEVER forget!
I've also seen people complaining about the Fake Cuts "misleading" people, and that all these fake cuts should be LJ-Cuts, which is actually just hiding text in the same entry instead of leading people to a different link...
This, however, is done much more easily (which led me to ponder why people make fake cuts rather than LJ cuts...but maybe they want more page hits?) Like so:
<lj-cut text="Cut?">YAY!!!</lj-cut>Or something like that, which I will experiment with at this moment
( Cut? )
